INFORM

The first part of our mission - to inform - is an essential part of forming good teachers. It is vitally important for the teacher to understand the psychological and environmental factors that shape and form today’s youth. Before stepping foot into the classroom, there are so many other moving parts in a child’s life of which the teacher needs to be aware in order to better understand his or her students. This is the first step to good teaching.

DEVELOPMENT

Explore Jean Piaget’s theory of Cognitive Development and Lev Vygotsky’s sociocultural theory of  development. Both dive into unlocking the mysteries of the human being and stages of growth.

THE HOME

A child’s home environment has an enormous impact on their development and ability to succeed in school. Although a heavy topic, it is important to be educated as a teacher on the living situations of students in today’s society.

PSYCHOLOGICAL

As a primary adult figure in the lives of many youth, it is essential for teachers to be aware of internal mental struggles of their students. Knowing the red flags of psychological illnesses can save a child’s life.
